NOTICE OF 2026 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING     When:  Tuesday 30 June 2026 commencing at 7:00pm  Where: Terrace Room, Settlers Inn Hotel, Hastings River Drive, Port Macquarie, 2444  Who: All members of Port Macquarie Basketball Association are invited to attend the meeting in person. Current registered players over 18, financial members and Life Members will have voting rights. Parents of junior players are encouraged to become volunteer members to and secure voting rights.  Agenda: 1. Welcome / Acknowledgement of Country   2. Quorum and Apologies   3. Adoption of Minutes - Annual General Meeting Tuesday 23 June 2025  4. Ordinary Business Reports  4.1 Presidents Report – Grant Carson  4.2 Financial Report – Grant Carson  There is no vote on these reports but questions and comments from Association members may be taken from the floor. 5. Nominations for Life Membership   Life membership nomination has been received for the following candidate:  No nominations were received for Life Member 6. Election of Directors   As per 15.4 b) of the PMBA Constitution the four elected Director positions being retired are Grant Carson (President), Nick Prior, Adam Hubbard and Howard Marzan.   Nominations have been received from:  GRANT CARSON  SUAN OXLEY  GENERAL BUSINESS  No items of General Business have been submitted.  7. Close of Meeting      NOTES: Appointment of Proxy: Any member entitled to vote can appoint another member as proxy to attend in their place. PMBA Holiday Basketball Camps – July School Holidays Port Macquarie Basketball Association is excited to announce the return of our Holiday Basketball Camps this July. Held on both Wednesdays of the school holidays from 9:00am to 3:00pm, these camps are designed to provide a fun, engaging and development-focused experience for players of all ages and abilities. This year we have made our camps more affordable than ever, with players able to attend for just $55 per day or $99 for both days. What makes these camps unique is the coaching team delivering them. Participants will work directly with PMBA accredited coaches, our US import players and senior representative athletes throughout the day. For many young players, opportunities to learn from overseas players and senior representative athletes are limited. These camps provide direct access to experienced players and coaches who compete at a high level and are passionate about helping the next generation improve their game. Across the two days, players will enjoy: • Individual skill development • Shooting and finishing techniques • Ball handling and footwork • Competitive games and challenges • Small-sided gameplay • Decision making and basketball IQ • Teamwork and confidence building Prizes and giveaways Whether you're new to basketball or already playing representative basketball, these camps will provide valuable coaching, plenty of court time and a fun environment to develop your game. Camp Details Dates: Both Wednesdays of the July School Holidays Time: 9:00am – 3:00pm Venue: Port Macquarie Indoor Stadium Cost 1 Day: $55 2 Days: $99 Considering the calibre of coaches involved and the amount of court time provided, we believe this represents outstanding value for local basketball families. Development Programs in partnership with the Port Macquarie PCYC From Term 1, 2025 our development programs will be run in partnership with the PCYC - a new central location and opportunities to join other PCYC events while learning all the skills in the approved Basketball Australia training program!  Ford Aussie Hoops - Ages 5-9 Thursday afternoon, 4:00 - 5:00 pm  - PCYC, Owen Street, Port Macquarie   Weekly sessions during a school term.  Registration $110 for the Term plus a $15 PCYC membership payable directly to the venue. Aussie Hoops is a national program providing boys and girls with a fun and safe basketball experience that serves as an introduction to a lifetime of involvement in the game. Aussie Hoops promotes a healthy and active lifestyle and serves as a platform for social development and inclusion - fostering stronger and more vibrant communities and individuals.
