Port Macquarie Basketball Association (PMBA) has been home to basketballers since 1967.
We run year-round competitions and development programs for all ages - from preschoolers to adults. Whether you're a player, coach, or referee, PMBA offers training and pathways to help grow your game. 

Our Summer and Winter competitions at the Port Macquarie Indoor Stadium mean there is a game  going all year round, while our Port Macquarie Dolphins junior teams compete in in Under12s to Under18s between March and July. The senior men’s and women’s teams proudly represent the Dolphins in the Basketball NSW Waratah Senior League.

🏀 PMBA Holiday Camps Are Back – April 2026 Following the success of our previous holiday camps, PMBA is excited to bring back our high-quality development sessions these school holidays. Join our experienced PMBA coaches alongside our 2026 Waratah imports Kalil Whitehead, Jacob Reese and Laura Gutierrez for a great opportunity to improve your skills in a fun and engaging environment. These sessions are designed for players of all levels, focusing on skill development, game concepts and confidence building — all delivered by some of the best talent in our program. 📅 Dates: Wednesday 8th & Wednesday 15th April ⏰ Sessions across both mornings (times TBC/you can insert) 💰 Cost: • $65 per session • $120 for 2-session pack Spots will be limited, so be sure to secure your place early. PMBA ELITE HOLIDAY WORKOUTS PMBA will be delivering two high-intensity elite workout sessions these school holidays, designed specifically for committed representative-level athletes. Sessions will run 1:00–3:00pm on Thursday 9 April and Thursday 15 April, with a strong focus on intensity, competition, and advanced skill development. These sessions will be led by our representative coaching group, alongside all three Port Dolphins import players, providing a unique opportunity for athletes to train in a high-performance environment. Each import will take the lead in their specialist areas: Jacob Reese — Post play and rebounding Kalil Whitehead — Athletic finishing Laura Gutierrez — Shooting Athletes will not only receive instruction but will compete directly alongside our imports in drills and competitive scenarios, gaining real-time feedback and insight into high-level play. Sessions will be overseen by PMBA Director of Coaching and Senior Program Head Coach Nick Prior, with support from Representative Coach Paul Norrie. These workouts are targeted at players aged 14+ who are currently playing representative basketball or operating at a comparable standard, and who are prepared to train at a high level. This is not a casual session — it is designed for athletes ready to be challenged. Do you think you can outshoot Laura, outmuscle Jacob, or outjump Kalil? Come and find out. PMBA Winter Comp 2026   PMBA Winter Comp 2026 – Registrations Now Open!    REGISTRATION LINK   PMBA Winter Competition 2026 – Registration Information Registrations for the Port Macquarie Basketball Association Winter Competition 2026 are now open. To register, use the Actions link in Basketball Connect and scroll to find “Winter Competition 2026.” Team & Player Requirements Uniforms All teams must be in full uniform from the first competitive round. Penalties may apply for non-compliance, including loss of competition points or removal from the competition. Team Contact Each team must nominate a team manager/contact person during team nomination. Duty Referee – Senior Competitions Senior teams must supply a duty referee when rostered. Game Sign-In System A new pre-game sign-in system will be introduced for the 2026 season. Player Registration All players must be correctly registered and joined to their team in Basketball Connect prior to Round 1. Team Nomination Teams can be nominated by selecting the Team Nomination option in the registration system. Teams may be nominated in all age groups and grades except Men's Premier League. Premier League players must register as individuals and will be drafted into teams. Important notes: Payment is not required to nominate a team A Team Code will be generated after nomination The team manager must provide this code to players Players use the code to register and pay individually Individual Player Registration Players without a team can register using the individual player registration option. If you already have a team, your team manager will provide a team code or registration link. If you do not have a team, or are registering for Premier League, use the generic team code for your division, available at the top of the registration page. Important: Payment is required to secure a place in a team Teams must have a minimum of 7 paid players to be entered into the competition Competition Divisions Division 1 Teams may self-nominate for Division 1. The Competition Committee reserves the right to regrade teams or players to ensure balanced competition. Division 1 is designed for players with strong skills and experience, including those participating in representative basketball. Division 2 Team nominations and individual registrations are accepted. Division 2 is a social but competitive division for players with some basketball experience who wish to play with friends.   Competition Fees Competition fees are charged per player and cover: Court hire Referee payments Competition administration End-of-season prizes Fees are calculated across approximately 15 weeks of competition. U10 & U12 – $180 U14 – U18 – $195 Seniors – $225 Payment Options To help manage costs we offer several payment options. Payment Instalments A 4-part instalment option is available at checkout. This annual membership provides Basketball NSW affiliation and insurance coverage and is separate from the PMBA competition fee. BNSW registration is valid for 12 months, and you will receive an email reminder one month prior to expiry.
