NOTICE OF 2026 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 
 

When: Tuesday 30 June 2026 commencing at 7:00pm

Where: Terrace Room, Settlers Inn Hotel Hastings River Drive

Who: All members of Port Macquarie Basketball Association are invited to attend the meeting in person. Current registered players over 18, financial members and Life Members will have voting rights. Parents of junior players are encouraged to become volunteer members to and secure voting rights.

There is no vote on these reports but questions from Association members may be taken from the floor. 

ORDINARY BUSINESS

Nominations for Life Membership: 

According to Section 5.1 of the PMBA Constitution:

• The Board may recommend to the AGM that a person nominated by a member who has rendered distinguished service to the Association be appointed as a Life Member.

• 'rendered distinguished service'  shall be restricted to those who have contributed to the control, promotion, integration or fostering of participation and development of basketball by their participation in the Association for a period of ten (10) years and have never been charged and founds guilty of an offence under disciplinary process that warranted a suspension of greater than 10 weeks. 

• A resolution to confer Life Membership must be passed by at least 75% of those attending and eligible to vote. 

• A person must accept or reject the Associations resolution to confer Life Membership in writing.

As per 15.4 b) of the PMBA Constitution there are three elected Director positions are available. Nominations have been received from:

Close of Meeting 

Voting:

• Life members and financial individual members over the age of 18 are entitled to vote at the AGM.

• Voting will  take place via written ballot in person at the meeting.

Appointment of Proxy: Any member entitled to vote can appoint another member as proxy to attend in their place. The Proxy form must be submitted by 6:00pm Sunday 28 June 2026.
