Who Should Attend?
The Prep 4 Rep Program is designed for:
- Current Port Dolphins Representative Players
- Domestic players aspiring to trial for representative basketball
- Committed domestic players looking to improve their game and prepare for future representative opportunities
We strongly encourage all current Port Dolphins representative players to participate in Prep 4 Rep.
While attendance is not compulsory, the program provides coaches with an opportunity to observe players in a representative training environment prior to trials. Where players are otherwise evenly matched throughout the selection process, participation in Prep 4 Rep may be viewed favourably.
The program is also open to domestic players looking to challenge themselves and improve their game. Sessions are designed for players with an established understanding of basketball fundamentals and representative aspirations. They are not intended for beginners, although younger players demonstrating appropriate skill and enthusiasm are encouraged to participate.
Why Attend?
Prep 4 Rep has been designed to help players:
- Prepare for the 2027 Representative Trials
- Improve basketball fundamentals
- Develop decision making and game understanding
- Increase confidence in competitive environments
- Understand representative expectations and standards
- Train alongside other committed athletes
- Experience representative-style coaching before trials
